Hello, I'm Bernadette.
What inspires you most about being part of EverWild?
"The most inspiring thing is that it feels like the kind of community I've always hoped existed- one rooted in genuine connection, openness, and care. Everyone shows up with intention, not obligation, ready to contribute, creating a true sense of belonging for both children and adults. I'm especially inspired by the way children are seen, supported, and free to be fully themselves. It's more than a group- it's a way of living and learning that were building together. "
My Story
Bernadette serves as the Vice President of EverWild and is a homeschooling mother of five. She is passionate about nature-based, experiential education and fostering strong, connected learning communities for families. She spent over a decade working with children and families as a therapist, followed by several years as a Tinkergarten Leader, where she deepened her understanding of the vital role play has in both healing and learning. Her homeschooling approach draws inspiration from Waldorf, Montessori, and Reggio Emilia philosophies, with an emphasis on outdoor exploration, creativity, and child-led discovery. She enjoys developing and facilitating hands-on, nature-centered learning experiences and brings a love of creativity and art into her work with children. Inspired by forest and nature-based learning models- and her own love of time spent outdoors with her family- Bernadette is dedicated to helping cultivate a community where families can connect with the natural world while nurturing curiosity, resilience and practical life skills.
